Check & Roll FAQ

Answers to the questions we hear most. For what the app does with your information, see the privacy policy.

Questions

What is it?

Check & Roll is an iPhone and iPad checklist app for RVers. It walks you through setup, departure and maintenance in the right order, with no account and no Long Road Software server.

Which rigs does it cover?

Travel trailers, fifth wheels, motorhomes, toads and tow vehicles each have their own built-in checklists.

Do I need an account?

No. There's no account and no Long Road Software server. Your checklists stay on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own iCloud account.

Does it work without signal?

Yes. Everything works with no signal, anywhere you park.

Does it know my awning is in?

No. There's no sensor on your rig. Check & Roll records that you checked each step, such as confirming the awning is in and locked. It keeps track of what you told it, not what your rig is doing.

Can my partner and I share a list?

Yes. You can invite your partner, or anyone else, to a checklist through iCloud. Starting a share needs Pro; the people you invite join free, and everyone can check off steps.

Does it work on Apple Watch?

Yes. Check & Roll has an Apple Watch app, so you can see the step you're on and check it off from your wrist. It's a Pro feature.

Does it work on iPad?

Yes. Check & Roll runs on iPhone and iPad.

What's free and what's Pro?

Free is a complete, safe checklist app for one rig. Pro adds more rigs, more of your own lists, notes on steps, unlimited hands-free walk-throughs, sharing a checklist, and the Apple Watch app. See the table on the home page. Safety is never behind Pro.

Is it a subscription?

No. Pro is a one-time unlock, with Family Sharing, not a subscription.

Can I make my own checklists, or change the built-in ones?

Yes. You can write your own checklists, and adjust the built-in ones to match your rig.

Who reviewed the built-in lists?

They are starting points, written to be adjusted for your rig. Check them against your owner's manual and change anything that doesn't match your setup before you rely on them.

Where's my data, and what do you collect?

Your checklists stay on your device and, if you turn on iCloud, in your own iCloud account. Nothing about your rig or your checklists is sent to Long Road Software. See the full privacy policy for detail.

When is it out, and which iOS version will it need?

We don't have a release date yet. Leave your email on the home page and we'll write once, when it's out. We'll say which iOS version it needs then; keeping your iPhone or iPad on a current iOS version is the best way to be ready.

How do I get help?
